Marlian boss Naira Marley has set tongues wagging after hinting at a major revelation.

The controversial singer left fans and critics restless on Tuesday after announcing that he is finally ready to speak out.

On his official X page, Marley wrote: “Meet me on YouTube @8pm. It’s time to tell my side of the story… via Marlian Music Channel.”

The cryptic post contained no further details, but Nigerians instantly connected it to the one issue that has haunted him for almost a year, the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad.

Mohbad’s death in September 2023 shook the music industry. His sudden passing was followed by widespread protests, candlelight vigils, and intense scrutiny of his strained relationship with Marlian Music.

Even though a Lagos State coroner cleared both Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, of direct involvement in the tragedy, the weight of public opinion has never left them.

For many Nigerians, the story is still incomplete, and perhaps that is why Marley’s latest tweet has generated so much interest.
