Opinions are divided on social media after the emergence of a video of ex-Big Brother Naija stars drinking at the service of songs and a night of tribute for the late housemate, Patrick Fakoya who is also known as Rico Swavey

The event was held on the evening of Thursday, October 19.

The 29-year-old died on Thursday, October 13 from injuries he sustained from a motor accident he was involved in.

Dorathy took to her Twitter page to share a video of herself and her fellow stars singing, possibly smoking and holding up their glasses to celebrate Rico’s life.

She captioned the video: "We love you Rico"

Muyiwa wrote: That guy was 29, he died few days to his birthday. You guys couldn’t even be sober at his candlelight service. Any excuse just to flex and post for the gram. It’s so insensitive to be singing that forever young song too, Rico didn’t want to live forever young? Disgraceful.

percy_black commented: I see no reason why they should celebrate his death… he was way too young, he died a horrible death.

Brook wrote: If this was after the burial, maybe people wouldn’t be talking but it’s the candle night. A night of solemn assembly and y’all are drinking, smoking and all. For people saying there’s nothing wrong, would you mourn a young family member( God forbid) ds way?
