Talent manager Paul Okoye, popularly known as PaulO, claims that things are falling apart for Afrobeats artistes.

He mentioned that the Afrobeats genre of music has been going through a lot recently.

Taking to his social media to share his thoughts on the recent happenings among artistes, PaulO noted that three years ago, Afrobeats artistes were doing well compared to the present day.

He mentioned that only a few singers are making money from music and that both globally and locally, things are getting worse for Afrobeats musicians.

He expressed hope that things will get better and Nigerian singers will continue to be recognized across the world.

“Afrobeats is going through a lot lately!!! Every Afrobeat artiste was doing way better 3 years ago compared to today!!!

Only few are making money at the moment and that’s a fact!!!

I can’t count on my one hand the afrobeat artistes who are making money now!!!

Globally things are falling apart for Afrobeats!!!

Locally it’s even worse. No money anywhere

Our bright stars will continue to shine and the world will continue to recognize our greatness!”
