They promised renewed hope but gave renewed hopelessness - Kenneth Okonkwo slams APC

Popular Nollywood actor and spokesperson for the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential campaign Kenneth Okonkwo has asserted that President Bola Tinubu and his administration are derailing from the promises they made to Nigerians during the 2023 election campaign.

The former LP spokesperson claimed that while the APC had pledged to give Nigerians new hope and advance the nation, they had actually been acting in the opposite way ever since Tinubu was sworn in as president.

Kenneth said on Arise News that President Tinubu is not giving Nigerians the newfound hope he promised, but rather a new sense of pessimism.

He said: “You have seen the model they promised you. They promised you renewed hope, but from the first day of inauguration, they gave you renewed hopelessness.”

Kenneth Okonkwo added that providing Nigerians with a nation free from corruption, illegality, and crime is a priority for the Labour Party but they will do it at the right time.

He said: “We promised Nigerians a new Nigeria that is free from the culture of impunity criminality, corruption and illegality. We are going to maintain our focus on that promise at the appropriate time.”
