Social media users remind Rema of school resumption

Nigerian artist, Rema Nigerian artist, Rema

Fans and followers of Nigerian music singer Rema descended on his verified Twitter account a few days after the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) called off its eight-month strike to inquire about when he would start attending classes.

Rema, who was admitted to the University of Lagos (Unilag) in January to pursue a degree in creative arts, was yet to return to class as a result of the strike.

While many other students kept their expectations bright, Rema took advantage of the eight-month strike action to concentrate on his music career even though he continued to cancel gigs outside of the country.

The artist excitedly revealed in January that he had been admitted into the University of Lagos (UNILAG), but Rema was confined to his home since the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike.

He bemoaned not having begun school since he had made the news.

Here are some reactions:

MakoMarine1: "Unilag student right now ???? I taught strike is over?"

Meetrichy1: "Person wey dey on first class already ????"
