Grammy-nominated afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has stated that if he sees a Nigerian politician in heaven, he will leave.

The controversial and activist said it's ironic that despite their corrupt behavior, many Nigerian politicians hope to go to heaven.

Seun Kuti in an Instagram live video, emphasized that allowing such politicians to be allowed in paradise would suggest that corruption has tainted the place's sanctity.

He said, “Despite how corrupt Nigerian politicians are, they still want to make heaven. Yemi Osibanjo is also a pastor. With everything that is happening in this country, these politicians still want to go to heaven.

If I died and the Christian and Muslim fantasy heaven happens to be true and see that people are actually going to heaven if I see one single Nigerian politician for heaven, I will go outside. Because that would mean that there’s corruption in heaven.”
