Nigerian musician Ruger, whose real name is Michael Olayinka Adebayo, has taken a significant swipe at his previous record label, Jonzing World.
He departed from the label, which is headed by well-known artist D’Prince, on February 6, 2024.
Ruger revealed that he felt exploited and unhappy with his contract, stating that his earnings were being utilized to support new artists.
A fan recently claimed that Ruger has not released any hit songs since parting ways with his former record label.

Ruger disclosed that he was dissatisfied with his contract and felt taken advantage of, adding that his money was being used to help up-and-coming musicians while he was left "in the dark".
A fan claimed on social media that Ruger has not released any successful songs since splitting from his previous record label.
The fan, efekoga wrote: “No Hit since you left jonzing.”
Reacting to it, Ruger wrote: “no hit for Jonzing since I left Jonzing.”
Social media users reacted to this in a variety of ways, labelling the musician ungrateful and claiming that even if his previous employer had mistreated him, he could have let it go without criticizing him publicly.
