Pretty Mike's nightclub forfeited after massive NDLEA drug raid

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the temporary forfeiture of Proxy Lagos, a popular nightclub reportedly owned by socialite Pretty Mike, following a major drug raid where authorities seized narcotics and linked the establishment to alleged drug-related operations.

The Victoria Island club, situated on Akin Adesola Street, was sealed after a midnight operation on October 26, 2025, during which NDLEA agents, acting on "credible intelligence" about a planned "major drug-themed event," discovered 169 cylinders of laughing gas and 200 grams of cannabis sativa on the premises.

Over 200 patrons were detained for questioning alongside the club’s registered owners, including Mike Nwalie (Pretty Mike), with Justice Musa Kakaki granting the interim forfeiture request by the NDLEA, which argued the property had been used as an "instrumentality of crime," thus suspending all commercial operations pending the conclusion of the case.

@nnabest4uau___"Though the order is for the interim, which implies that the defence counsel has not been granted the opportunity to argue his case. If the case against him is proven, he will finally forfeit the property; otherwise, he gets his property back. I hope he will be compensated for the reputation tarnished as well as the losses during the interim forfeiture."
