Portable stirs controversy with fresh accusations against Olamide

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has sparked fresh drama with a new call-out aimed at music executive and rapper Olamide. In a viral video during the week, Portable questioned why he wasn’t invited to perform at Olamide’s recent OVO Wembley Arena show in London.

According to Portable, Olamide’s international visibility is tied to their collaboration on the hit track Zazoo. He claimed the rapper has since refused to acknowledge him, despite the song’s success.

“Olamide didn’t even shoot the Zazoo video with me; he didn’t stand beside me in the visuals. I’m the one who gave Olamide international recognition. Zazoo made Olamide. Did I sleep with his wife? Why didn’t he call me for his show?” Portable said.

Comparing his experience with Olamide to Davido, Portable added, “Davido wanted to give me a verse. He told me I’m the best among the rest in the whole world. Davido loves me, and he’s proud of me.”

He continued, “Olamide and I both sang Zazoo. I didn’t offend him, yet he stopped replying to my messages. He refused to take me to London. Skepta and I also sang Tony Montana, and he invited me to London. Tell Olamide to reply to me so he won’t regret it in the future.”

This is not the first time Portable has made such claims. In November 2024, during a TikTok live session, he stated that although Olamide supported him, the rapper did not make him famous.

“Is it Olamide that posted me and made me famous? He’s my helper, yes, but I was already famous before he helped me,” he said.

“These are two different things. He didn’t meet me suffering. Everyone wanted to mingle with me at the time, and it even caused issues. Since the time Olamide helped me, has he ever posted me on his story?”

On his part, Olamide remained silent and focused on the attention he has been receiving for his recently sold-out show at the OVO Arena, where many moments effortlessly went viral for his energetic performance.

During the show, Olamide threw a shade at those who often say that he no longer has fans. In the middle of his performance, as the crowd sang some of his hit songs word for word, including “Stupid Love” from 2018, he said, “And they said I don’t have fans anymore…”
