Controversial street singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, had a brawl with an okada rider on the street of Lagos.
In a widely shared video on the internet, the contentious singer violently assaulted the motorcyclist in the middle of the roadway while blocking traffic.
People watching attempted to step in, but Portable threw his opponent to the ground in a fit of wrath.
There was an altercation after Portable reportedly confronted the man for allegedly snatching his phone.
The able-bodied man was observed being struck to the ground by Portable, who was wearing his yellow two-piece suit. Encircling the enraged musician were people attempting to harm him.
He was seen walking toward his Mercedes Benz, worth millions of Naira, but the local youths wouldn't allow him to get into the vehicle, much less leave the battleground.
People were heard speaking in Yoruba, saying, “He has wounded that boy. Portable is in trouble. We won’t allow you to go. They have wounded that guy. Your life will be a mess. Look at your dirty celebrity.”
