Nigerian dancer and singer Korra Obidi, has weighed in on the current struggles of controversial street singer Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable.

Portable was given a bail of N300,000 on Monday, April 3, after being detained by the Ogun State Police for suspected assault.

The 'Zazu' crooner was charged by the Ogun Police command with six assault-related offenses before the Ifo-based Ogun State High Court but was released after satisfying the bail requirements.

Reacting to the incident, Korra Obidi claimed that the security personnel treated the singer like a criminal and humiliated him.

She expressed her affection for Portable and maintained that it is a mistake to arrest and charge a street performer like Portable as opposed to dishonest politicians.

Korra questioned why Portable was being used as a scapegoat when dishonest politicians were being let off the hook and allowed to continue with their acts.

She continued to criticize Manny Monie, Portable's former signee, for reporting the music icon to the police, insisting that the dispute between them could have been settled amicably without engaging the law.
