Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu, the cleric who prophesied Davido and his wife Chioma would have twins after the death of their son, Ifeanyi dominated the trends last week.

On Tuesday, October 10, Nigerians woke up to rife reports that the Adeleke's reportedly welcomed twins in the United States.

The first hint of the news came when Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu shared the news of Davido and Chioma welcoming a set of twins on the church's official Facebook page with a Whatsapp chat he had with the singer.

The clergyman has since been in the news for his prophecy.

1. Early life

Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu is from Awalla autonomous community in Isiekenesi, Ideato-South local government, Imo state. He began his pastoral ministry in 2009.

This was when he served as the resident pastor of St. Charles Methodist church Irete, Owerri West, Imo state.

2. Education

He studied Education English and literary studies at Alvan Ikoku campus, University of Nigeria Nsukka, after which he obtained a doctorate in Divinity.

3. He was dumped by his fiancée few days to their wedding

Only six days before their wedding, Evangelist Agochukwu's fiancee notified him that she no longer wanted to marry him because she doesn't love him. He revealed that it was a terrible ordeal for him because he almost lost his mind.

He said: “I did all that was humanly possible to see if the wedding could hold because of the shame I felt will come with the cancellation but no I couldn’t. I underwent emotional brouhaha; psychological trauma. I nearly ran mad."

Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu is married to Faith Chidera. They have been married for 6 years. They are blessed with five children, two of them are twins.

The clergyman recently made headlines after it was reported that Afrobeats singer Davido and his wife Chioma have welcomed a set of twins.

Apparently in 2022, after the death of the singer's three-year-old son Ifeanyi, Evangelist Gospel Agochukwu prophesied that Davido and his wife would be blessed with a set of twins.

He wrote: "God told me Ifeanyi is dead but He can give Chioma twins in her next childbirth. Ifeanyi cannot come back to life.

"This is their time to make things right.
