Nigerian street-hop sensation Portable has stirred fresh conversation online after releasing a passionate statement claiming that hip-hop icon Olamide will one day regret not signing him.
In his emotional outburst, Portable described himself as an artiste rising against all odds, insisting that nothing can stop the global success he believes is already unfolding.
He noted that despite challenges, betrayals, and attempts to hinder him, he has continued to attract international recognition, especially through his connection with UK rapper Skepta, whom he describes as a major helper in his journey.
According to Portable, he has transformed from being tagged a “local rapper” into an internationally recognised act, driven by relentless hustle, spiritual backing, and pure determination.
He claimed that many in the industry once tried to take advantage of him, but turned against him when he refused to be used. Portable warned that anyone who spoils his image to those who genuinely support him will “face the consequences.”
He went on to emphasise that his rise cannot be stopped, adding that authenticity has always been the core of his brand, from his street-influenced sound to his outspoken personality.
Portable ended his message with a bold declaration that his success story is still unfolding, and that his global breakthrough will eventually prove that his struggles were all part of a divine plan.
Below is an excerpt from his statement:
“Any disappointment is a blessing. Zazu is blessed internationally — I get fan base. If you spoil me for who love me, you go die young. God bless Skepta, my helper wey carry me from where them stop. Love who love you. Support who support you. Ogun na money — Orunmila dey carry me trabaye. I turned from local rapper to international. When my time come, you no fit stop me. Olamide go regret why him no sign me or carry me again, just because I fight for my right. God of Zazuu is coming for those blocking my way. Internationally, I can be bigger than them. I’m still myself — Portable Omolalomi, Tony Montana of London.”
