Since Friday, September 5, the Nigerian social media space has been buzzing with discussions about singer Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola’s three-continent wedding.

Colourful photos and videos from the lavish ceremonies quickly went viral, with notable personalities like Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in attendance.

However, amid the excitement, many netizens began drawing comparisons between Temi and Eazi’s wedding and that of Davido and Chioma, which was held earlier in Miami, USA.

Actor Uche Maduagwu has now added his voice to the conversation.

Taking to social media, he argued that Davido’s wedding should not be compared to Mr Eazi’s, stressing that the dynamics were very different.

According to him, unlike Mr Eazi’s in-laws, Davido’s in-laws did not contribute financially to his wedding with Chioma.

He further claimed that Davido even rejected financial support from his billionaire father, who allegedly offered to spend $15 million on the Miami wedding.

Maduagwu went on to question how much Mr Eazi personally contributed to his grand celebration, which was rumored to have cost around $14–15 million.

In his words:

“Don't ever compare #Chivido2025 with Mr Eazi's wedding, Davido's IN-LAW never contributed MONEY to his wedding. 🙄 Davido wedding Na ODOGWU wedding, Davido's Father allegedly Begged @davido to allow him spend 15 MILLION Dollars on #chivido2025miami but DAVID said NO. They said TEMI OTEDOLA and Mr Eazi's WEDDING cost 14 Million Dollars, Abeg, how much did Mr Eazi bring out from his Pocket? I challenge Mr Eazi to tell us how much he contributed, so, are you people now seeing that Davido wedding get ODOGWU Levels pass Mr Eazi's WEDDING? 🙄 .”

Maduagwu’s comments have since stirred further reactions online, with fans continuing to debate which wedding truly takes the crown.
