Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing has opened up about the deeper issue behind her recent viral gym incident, stressing that the matter goes beyond body shaming and cuts directly to privacy invasion.

Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the actress revealed that a woman secretly photographed her during a workout session, an image that later spread online without her knowledge or consent.

Nkechi noted that what hurt her most was not the criticism that followed, but the blatant violation of her privacy in a supposedly safe environment.

The mother of one, who maintains confidence in her natural body, questioned why people, especially those who have undergone cosmetic procedures, feel entitled to mock others.

She emphasized that the unsolicited photo was taken in bad faith and triggered unnecessary scrutiny.

Determined to hold the culprit accountable, Nkechi said she personally traced the woman behind the camera and ensured she was arrested.

She also faulted the gym management for initially refusing to aid her investigation, despite being responsible for client safety and confidentiality.

“This is my real body, and I’ve always been this way. You get BBL, but you dey hide snap person wey get natural body, are you stùp!d? I found her and got her arrested. Na because I no come online?” she said.
