Nigerians are loud and expressive – Fireboy DML

Nigerian superstar Fireboy DML discussed his latest album, "Playboy," and his development as an artist in an interview with the UK program shopping for sneakers.

Craig Mitch, the interviewer, emphasized that Nigeria is currently leading the way in music as Afrobeats sweeps the globe.

The 'Peru' crooner responded that Nigeria's population and the expressiveness of the people have a lot to do with why he thinks Nigerian music is gaining popularity.

Fireboy said: "We are a lot of people so there are chances that when you see a random black person on the street they might be Nigerian. Apart from that, we are very expressive. The way they talk, the way we dress, wherever we find ourselves we always want to succeed and stand out."

He also mentioned his upcoming London performance at Wembley, where he said a very special guest will be present.
