Senator Ned Nwoko has released what he claims is a WhatsApp message he sent to his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, in October 2025, as part of his response to the ongoing controversy surrounding their marriage.

The senator shared the message on Sunday, January 11, 2026, through a statement posted on his Instagram page and signed by his communications team. According to him, the message offers deeper insight into the issues that led to the breakdown of their relationship.

In the message dated October 17, 2025, Nwoko expressed concern about Regina’s lifestyle, alleging that her actions were negatively affecting his health and their children. He reportedly raised issues about frequent late-night visits from her friends, excessive noise in the house, and what he described as erratic behaviour.

The lawmaker also accused the actress of disregarding household rules, questioned the influence of her friends, and voiced concern over alleged substance abuse. He further warned that he would stop funding her lifestyle unless she continued therapy or checked into a rehabilitation centre in Asokoro.

Nwoko’s team stated that the message proves there was no domestic violence, countering claims previously made by Regina. They argued that her decision to go public marked a shift from private attempts at resolution to what they described as a bid for public sympathy.

“The October 17 message stands as a factual anchor,” the statement noted, stressing that it was written before the issue became public or entered legal proceedings.

According to his communications team, supporting evidence such as medical reports, staff statements, therapy records, and past messages back up the senator’s position and contradict allegations of abuse. They also added that Nwoko is prepared to respond to all accusations raised by Regina, including those concerning age differences and infidelity.
