'My mum sold fruits for 19 years straight' - Crayon recalls days of extreme poverty

Afrobeats star, Crayon, has disclosed how his family struggled financially as he recalls his mother selling fruits for 19 years straight in Iyana-Iba, Lagos.

He made this known while discussing his new album 'Trench To Triumph’.

According to him, his album is a real life story because everything in it depicts what he had gone through before he became famous.

According to him, he and his family used to live in a deafening face-me-I-face-you house where the neighbours are constantly fighting with each other.

His mother sold fruits for almost 20 years at Iyana-Iba Lagos in order to be able to provide for the family.

He says that he has gone through his trenches time and he is at the point in his life when everything is moving good and he’s in his triumphant era, hence the name of his album.
