'Man is sick' - Concerns as netizens spot PICC line on Tinubu's arm

Social media users are in outmost confusion as they notice something odd about the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu upon his arrival in Abuja.

After spending four weeks in France, Tinubu arrived at the presidential terminal of the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport in Abuja on Monday, April 24.

Many trooped to the airport to welcome the Asiwaju with applause and excitement as they expressed happiness over his return.

The PICC line under the Asiwaju's right arm caught social media users' attention when a video of his arrival at the airport emerged.

The reason the president-elect would have a Picc line on him has drawn criticism from online users.

They questioned whether everything was okay with the Jagaban or if there was a problem with him that Nigerians were unaware of.

What is a PICC line?:

Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) is a thin, flexible tube that is inserted into a vein in the upper arm and guided (threaded) into a large vein above the right side of the heart called the superior vena cava.

A PICC line is used to deliver medications and other treatments directly to the large central veins near ones heart.

What diseases need a PICC line?

PICC lines can be used for treatment for conditions such as Cancer, Diabetes, Lyme Disease, POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachaycardia Syndrome), Cystic Fibrosis, and Gastrointestinal Diseases such as Crohns.
