A leaked document circulating online has sparked controversy, alleging that Nollywood star Regina Daniels, wife of billionaire and senator Ned Nwoko, tested positive for several psychoactive substances, including opiates, alcohol, and other unnamed drugs.
According to the report, the document—purportedly issued by Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja and allegedly signed by its Managing Director, Dr. Adekunle Adesina, outlines a detoxification program said to have taken place between September 9 and October 15, 2025.
The report further claims that on September 23, the hospital’s psychological emergency team was called to the Nwoko residence after concerns reportedly arose that Regina had not slept for two days and had become “visibly aggressive.”
Upon arrival, medical personnel allegedly found her in a heated exchange with her husband and mother.
The leaked document states that she displayed signs of agitation, verbal aggression, anger, and inconsistent emotional responses, with her mood described as “elated and evasive.” Based on this, the hospital allegedly diagnosed her with substance use disorder and commenced home-based detox treatment the following day, September 24.
Family members were reportedly invited to participate, with warnings that anyone allegedly involved in drug use should avoid contact with the actress during recovery.
The report also mentions several challenges that supposedly affected her detoxification process, including:
1. Frequent social outings
2. Access to friends or relatives who allegedly use drugs
3. Unrestricted access to the actress during treatment
4. Work engagements
5. A case of superficial thrombophlebitis (vein inflammation)
Despite some improvement in mental stability, the document concludes that progress was limited because she “still has access to psychoactive substances, which is frustrating the process.”
The hospital allegedly recommended stricter supervision, consistent psychotherapy, and avoidance of high-risk environments.
