Sophia Momodu, the mother of musician Davido's first child, Imade has justified her daughter's tearful conversation with her grandma.

Sophia recently revealed a conversation between her kid and grandmother on Snapchat, sparking responses as she expressed her grief at her brother's passing, Ifeanyi's death, and her father's neglect.

Imade sobbed to her grandmother about how her singing father's absence from her life had left her feeling incredibly depressed. The revelation raised the possibility of a tense relationship between a parent and daughter amid trying times.

During the talk, Sophia Momodou showed interest in learning from whom her child learned how to send such complex texts.

Many believed the single mother was attacking her baby daddy and attempting to damage his reputation.

Sophia defended herself on Twitter, saying that it's okay if Nigerians always want her to be the bad guy. She clarified that children are honest about their emotions, especially when interacting with their grandparents.

She wrote: “Y’all want me to be the bad guy sooooo bad and it’s ok, quite frankly I like being the bad guy Chun-Le. But one thing is for sure, kids don’t lie about how they feel. Especially with their grandparents.

"You people think this new generation of kids wouldn’t tell you about yourself when you’re moving mad. Better wake up”.
