Ayo Kuti, the son of legendary Nigerian Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti, has sparked online debate after making a candid revelation about a deeply personal milestone in his life.
In a recent livestream appearance alongside Davreal, Ayo disclosed that he became sexually active at just 16 years old a decision he claims was partly shaped by his father’s own story. He explained that Femi had once shared that he lost his virginity at 17, and that this confession inspired the younger Kuti to, in his own words, “beat the record.”
The grandson of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti went on to elaborate on his reasoning behind the choice, saying:
“The only reason I lost my virrginity at 16 is that my dad told me that he lost his at 17. So I said, ‘Okay, I have to be number one in my family, because you have to know, say e dey shake, e dey break.’ My dad is a bad boy.”
