Popular Nigerian comedian, actor, and content creator Samuel Perry, well known as Broda Shaggi, has reflected on his formative years, disclosing how he survived a major fall from a three-story building during his school days.

The details emerged in a resurfaced video interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where the entertainer spoke about his early struggles, family sacrifices, and career ambitions before finding fame.

Speaking on the near-fatal accident, the skit maker recalled the severity of his injuries and the dedicated care he received from his mother and grandmother during a long recovery period.

"I had an accident. I fell from a three-story building. In school? In school. I was in hospital for three months. My jaw was open. You could see everything. It was crazy. My mom stood by me. She stopped her business. My grandma stopped everything. She wasn't going to market anymore. She was there for me, back to back, till I healed. Then brought me to Lagos," Broda Shaggi revealed.

The actor explained that after recovering, his family ensured he completed his secondary education before he proceeded to the university.

He further shared that during his tertiary education days, he almost dropped out after auditioning for an international performance opportunity with a theatre group.

"When I was in Yabatech, I wanted to drop out now. Why? There was this theatre troupe from Abeokuta. They said they needed dancers in Russia. So I went to Abeokuta. From Abeokuta, I went to Ife. We rehearsed, did everything. We were ready for the performance. It was a carnival. Went to embassy. You know, we were 12. So out of the 12 people, I was the only one who was given the visa. And I can't travel alone," he added.

Broda Shaggi eventually graduated from the University of Lagos, where he studied Creative Arts, before building one of the most successful comedic brands in West African digital media.

The resurfaced interview comes shortly after the actor returned to social media after surviving a gunshot attack in Ogun State, prompting widespread support from his fans and colleagues.
