American actor and R&B singer Tyrese Gibson has revealed that he is en route to Nigeria after accepting a private jet offer from Grammy-winning Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy.
The Fast & Furious star disclosed the journey through a series of videos shared on his social media pages, showing him at an airport and later boarding a private aircraft.
"I’m on my way to Africa, I’m coming home. I’m African/American, not American/African. I've already shown y'all my ancestry results. I’m 99 percent African and 1 percent American," Tyrese announced.
Highlighting how the trip came together, Tyrese expressed gratitude to those who facilitated his connection with Burna Boy, revealing that the Afrobeats artiste personally stepped in to arrange his transportation from the United States.
"Thanks to everyone who connected me to Burna Boy. He offered to fly me private from Los Angeles to Africa. I couldn't say no... I’m going to Nigeria," he added.
