Nollywood actress Uche Montana has publicly denied claims linking her to the alleged drug controversy involving actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a statement shared via her Instagram page on Monday, Montana addressed the circulating rumours, which emerged after Nwoko, in a detailed Facebook post, accused some of Regina’s close friends and relatives—including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, of allegedly interfering with his wife’s recovery process.
According to Nwoko’s claims, the individuals repeatedly defied medical advice to limit access to Regina during therapy and were “bringing her the same substances she was being treated for.”
Responding to the allegation, Montana stated:
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”
Her response comes amid escalating tension between Regina Daniels and her husband.
The controversy deepened after Regina alleged in a viral video that she suffered domestic abuse and felt like a “slave” in her marriage.
Senator Nwoko has since denied those claims, countering that his wife was battling drug and alcohol addiction** and had, at one point, assaulted domestic staff.
