Nollywood star Nkechi Blessing Sunday has become the centre of social media jokes after boldly claiming she owns iPhone models that have not yet been released.
During a recent podcast, the actress said she intentionally avoided using her “iPhone 17” on camera to call her son, opting instead for what she described as an “iPhone 16 Pro Max” to prevent people from accusing her of showing off.
According to her, she owns three consecutive iPhones, 15, 16, and 17 and chose the middle option to keep online critics quiet.
Her claim, however, quickly triggered a wave of reactions online. Many Nigerians expressed disbelief, pointing out that the iPhone 16 and 17 have not been officially launched. Others turned the moment into comedy, sharing memes and teasing the actress for allegedly being ahead of Apple’s official release schedule.
