Nigerian Afrobeats icon Davido has intervened in the ongoing controversy surrounding streamer Carter Efe, calling on him to publicly apologise to Ghanaian dancehall superstar Stonebwoy following derogatory remarks made during his recent trip to Ghana.
In a viral social media video capturing a phone call between the two, Davido explicitly voiced his disappointment over the streamer's conduct and demanded immediate restitution.
"Listen, that Stonebwoy comment, we need to talk about it. I don't like it. You need to apologise," Davido told Carter Efe.
Admitting fault during the call, Carter Efe pledged to issue a formal apology while on a trip to Morocco after receiving an invitation from the music star.
"I will apologize. I will kneel down in Morocco and apologize. I will kneel down in Morocco and beg him," Carter Efe replied.
The row stems from a recent livestream in Ghana where Carter Efe sparked outrage across the West African entertainment circuit.
During the stream, he asserted that he should be compared to Stonebwoy rather than Shatta Wale—claiming Shatta Wale was "the biggest" artist in Ghana while reducing Stonebwoy's stature.
The streamer further drew intense public condemnation after making insensitive remarks regarding Stonebwoy's physical leg condition, alleging that local creator Made in Ghana provided him with the information.
🚨Davido promises Carter Efe a Collab and says Zlatan will also be part of it.
