Hardship: 'We're protesting to make our voices heard' - Nkechi Blessing

Actress Nkechi Blessing Actress Nkechi Blessing

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has sent a message to President Bola Tinubu regarding the planned citizen protest set to begin on August 1.

In a video, Nkechi pointed out that President Tinubu is aware of the people's intention to protest against the ongoing hardships in the country. She urged him to address the nation and outline the steps his administration is taking to improve the situation.

"Sir, I understand you do not want protests in Nigeria, but as our President, you should come on national TV and address us, explaining the measures you are taking to bring food prices back to normal."

She emphasized the purpose of the nationwide protest, stating, "The sole reason for this protest is for people to voice their complaints so that solutions can be found. It's a good thing that the government is seeing the plans for protest because the main reason is for us to come and talk about how tired we are"

Nkechi also noted that the economic difficulties under Tinubu's administration have blurred the lines between the rich and the poor, with even the wealthy now struggling financially.

The actress clarified that her message was not intended to be disrespectful, but she stressed that President Tinubu, as a father figure, must address the people's grievances.
