Nigerian skit maker and social activist Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has voiced his criticism towards certain individuals, accusing them of losing their compassion.

In his view, no amount of money, status, or connections can replace the value of people's independence.

The social activist took to his X handle on Tuesday, to express his disappointment towards some individuals who he claimed have completely lost their humanity by promoting violence, hatred, and intolerance.

He stated: “No amount of money, position, or connection in this world should ever be enough to sacrifice the freedom of your people.

“Some people have lost every essence of their humanity by promoting violence, hate, and bigotry just to have access to a few crumbs at the table. It is their ignorance and selfishness that blinds them to the fact that if united, the entire table belongs to us.”

This comes as some Nigerians are gearing up for a nationwide demonstration from August 1 to 10, 2024. The organizers of the demonstration have raised concerns about widespread hunger and the rising cost of living in the country.
