'Government has a role to play in fraud' - Nedu Wazobia

Popular media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel better known as Nedu Wazobia has opined that the Federal Government has a role to play when it comes to curbing fraudulent activities by the youth.

While discussing 'fraud and hookup culture', Nedu stated that when people are fortunate enough to have the necessities of life or have well-paying jobs, they will not be enticed to steal or indulge in online fraud.

Nedu added that some people enter into fraud because they also want to have a sense of belonging, be able to say "mama I made it" so that their families will be proud of them.

The media personality added that young people frequently turn to fraud due to a lack of employment opportunities in the nation.

He added that they also frequently face a barrage of taxes when starting small businesses, which causes them to lose interest and turn to fraud and prostitution, which can earn them large sums of money.

Nedu urged the government to look into these issues and be able to meet the fundamental requirements of the youth in order to stop the widespread fraud and prostitution in the nation.
