Davido and lady

Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke better known as Davido has earned a lot of praise from celebrity colleagues and social media users following a kind gesture he showed to an unidentified pregnant woman.

This follows a video shared by popular blogger Tunde Ednut showing the plight of a pregnant woman who appears to be struggling to make ends meet.

The lady in the video had to settle for the popular gari soakings following her inability to get the food of her choice on the day.

Davido sent Tunde Ednut a message after seeing the video on his page and promised to give the woman N2,000,000 the following day. As it turned out, the singer then requested the woman's bank details and sent the specified sum to her.

Tunde Ednut re-posted the conversation he had with Davido on his Instagram page, requesting prayers for the musician for showing such a gesture in this hard economy.

Reacting to it, Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh, and Akporo Doctor, among others took to the comment section to offer prayers for the singer for his benevolence and compassion.
