Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has taken delivery of a heavily customized Bugatti Chiron VXX in Lagos, marking what is being widely described as the most expensive automobile acquisition in African entertainment history.

The one-of-a-kind hypercar, carrying a reported price tag of approximately ₦9 billion, was custom-built by Venuum, an elite Dubai-based luxury vehicle modification firm, with procurement facilitated through Sadiq Aminu Gaidam, Chief Executive of Abuja Car dealership.

Specially tailored for the Afrobeats star, the hypercar features a French Racing Blue front fascia, Bugatti’s signature horseshoe grille, a bold yellow number 7, and racing stripes styled after the French tricolour. Inside, the bespoke cabin boasts blue sports seats, yellow contrast stitching, and gold-threaded interior grid detailing.

Powered by Bugatti’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine, the Chiron is globally celebrated for its extreme performance metrics. Custom coachwork conversions by specialized luxury houses like Venuum significantly increase overall valuation through bespoke aerodynamic panels, forged alloy wheels, and hand-stitched interior upholstery.

Footage of the formal unveiling shared by Venuum on Instagram showed presenters pulling back a black velvet wrap to reveal the hypercar to Burna Boy in Lagos.

"Today, Lagos welcomes something truly unique. We're proud to see @burnaboygram receive his one-of-a-kind Bugatti Chiron VXX — a piece created to stand apart, built with character, presence and an unmistakable identity... From Dubai to Lagos. A unique creation for a unique artist," Venuum stated in an official announcement.

The Chiron VXX joins an already formidable multi-billion naira private garage owned by the musician. Burna Boy’s extensive fleet includes a customized Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Maybach S680, a Ferrari 812 Superfast, a Lamborghini Urus Novitec edition, and a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, cementing his standing as one of the continent's most prolific collectors of high-end automotive engineering.
