After setting the record for the "longest cooking time by an individual" by cooking nonstop for 100 hours and 40 minutes, Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has clocked a million followers on Instagram.

She had only 448,000 followers when she started the competition on Thursday, May 11.

On Monday, May 15, as she surpassed the record for cooking continuously for 88 hours and beyond, she had 784,000 followers.

Hilda currently has one million followers on Instagram as of Tuesday, May 16, when her 100-hour straight cooking session came to an end.

It is undeniable that even though Guinness World Records does not give record breakers any form of financial compensation, her involvement has other benefits.

The Guinness Book of World Records makes its holders famous for their accomplishments and may lead to multi-million dollar brand endorsements.
