'Forgive me' - Carter Efe publicly begs Stonebwoy after Davido’s intervention

Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has formally issued a public apology to Ghanaian dancehall icon Stonebwoy, following widespread backlash over disrespectful comments made during his recent visit to Ghana.

Taking to his official X page on November 3, 2026, the streamer asked the award-winning Ghanaian musician for forgiveness, acknowledging that the decision to make peace came directly from his "idol," Davido.

"@stonebwoy forgive me for all my sins," Carter Efe posted. "My Daddy said I should apologize to you."

In the same breath, Carter Efe extended a direct apology to Davido for causing the cross-border friction in the first place, writing:
"OBO Great idol, I'm very sorry @stonebwoy."

The public surrender fulfills a promise Carter Efe made during a viral video call with Davido earlier in the week. After the Afrobeats superstar sternly admonished him for mocking Stonebwoy's physical leg condition and downplaying his musical status, Carter Efe pledged to "kneel down and beg" for forgiveness.

The friction began during Carter Efe’s recent livestreams in Ghana, where he made insensitive remarks regarding Stonebwoy's physical walking gait and claimed Shatta Wale was the only elite artiste in the country.

The comments sparked immediate outrage across the West African entertainment ecosystem, prompting Davido—who shares a close brotherly bond with Stonebwoy—to step in and demand the streamer take full responsibility for his words.
