Female artistes struggle in entertainment industry due to lack of relationship - Candy Bleaks

Fast-rising singer Blessing Mariam Akiode who is also known as Candy Bleakz has revealed why it is so difficult for women to succeed in the entertainment industry.

In a podcast interview with Clout Africa, Bleakz stated that the reason female musicians have a harder time succeeding in the music industry than their male counterparts is because there are less relationships between them.

Bleakz claimed that due to her distinctive musical taste, it is particularly challenging for her to be welcomed by her female coworkers.

She said: “For Nigerian female artistes generally, there is no relationship among female artistes. No vibe, no nothing, you know.

“Then now, my music is now even different from what they are doing, now I’m trying to like sync myself in, like, yo, I’m here. What’s up? So, it’s harder.”
