Farida Sobowale of House of Phreeda rescued after attempting to commit suicide

Popular Lagos socialite Farida Sobowale of House of Phreeda has been saved after attempting to jump off the Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

She arrived at the bridge in her Lexus SUV, descended, and was going to leap into the lagoon when she was saved by people who were present.

Videos posted online show the woman, who was wearing all black, sobbing while being comforted by those who saved her. Sobowale is a well-known businesswoman in Lagos' beauty industry.

Two months ago, Farida made headlines when she wed Demola in Lagos in a ceremony that was the talk of the city. According to speculations, their marriage has broken up, and this has significantly impacted her mental health.
