Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has fired back at Judy Austin, the second wife of actor Yul Edochie, following reports that Judy slapped her with a ₦1 billion character defamation lawsuit.

Taking to her Instagram page, the matriarch laughed off the legal action, daring Judy to proceed while maintaining her fierce support for Yul Edochie’s estranged first wife, May Edochie.

"YOU ARE SUING FOR CHARACTER DEFAMATION KWA? 😂😂 I AM THE MOTHER THAT MOTHERED THEIR MOTHER!!" Rita declared in her post.

Addressing the allegations directly, Rita accused Judy of destroying a home and warned that no lawsuit would shield her from karma or the consequences of her actions.

"DRAMA DEVIL, ONYE ORI DI [husband snatcher], ARE YOU WITH SOMEONE'S HUSBAND? THE ANSWER IS YES... They said you're not the first person to take another woman's husband and try putting her home in shambles and chaos.

"While I agree to this, I still need to say that you will be the first to face the full repercussions 👌. You will be the first to contend with karma," she wrote.

The veteran actress also took aim at those backing Judy's legal move, including potential court witnesses, suggesting they gave her terrible counsel.

"If you truly know who I am ehnnn, you will find reasons to lay unending curses on the people who advised you to make this move you made, and one of those standing as your witness... YINKOLOS. CHAIIIIIIIIII," Rita added, while dismissing Judy’s online supporters as "products of polygamy and broken matrimony."
