Grammy Award-winning singer Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, often known as Wizkid, has sparked conflicting opinions on social media due to advice he gave to his colleague Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake while spending time with him.
Multiple videos of the two enjoying themselves have surfaced online, including footage of them attending the YBNL signee's gig in London.
In one particularly notable piece of footage, Wizkid can be heard cautioning Asake against being overly modest.
In the lively atmosphere filled with noise and music, the Afrobeats star tapped the Lungu Boy singer on the shoulder and yelled, “Ma humble, ma humble,” meaning “Don’t be humble, don’t be humble.”
Many social media users interpreted Wizkid's message as advising Asake not to act humble towards him, rather than encouraging him to be arrogant or proud towards others.
Others, however, criticized Wizkid for giving Asake such advice while telling him not to listen to the Grammy Award winner.
