Don Jazzy says Asake is Nigeria’s Lil Wayne

Nigerian music mogul and producer, Don Jazzy, has stated that Nigeria’s Asake can be likened to American rapper, Lil Wayne.

He said this while reacting to Asake’s win at the recently held Headies Awards, where the ‘Lonely at the Top’ crooner bagged the ‘Next Rated Artist’ award and the Album of the Year award.

In a recent podcast interview with DJ Big N, Don Jazzy said that Asake is a generational artiste.

Don Jazzy said: “Asake is such a brilliant artist. He’s an all-rounder.

"He’s an artist that we don’t get all the time, but when they come, you just know that a star has been born. Asake is Nigeria’s Lil Wayne.”
