Nigerian singer Azeez Adeshina Fashola better known as Naira Marley, has got social media buzzing after news broke that he has been made ambassador for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

In recent photos that had gone viral on social media, the contentious singer was seen paying a visit to the NDLEA chairman, Mohamed Buba Marwa.

On Thursday, August 17, the NDLEA shared on it's Twitter now X account that Naira Marley had joined the fight against drug misuse in Nigeria.

Sharing pictures of the artiste with the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) in Abuja, the caption states, "Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) with music star, Naira Marley when the artiste paid a visit to the National Headquarters of the Agency in Abuja to declare support for the War Against Drug Abuse."

Many people have commented on the development on social media. Some have voiced their dissatisfaction of the NDLEA's decision, claiming that drug abuse will now be widespread throughout the nation.
