$Davido: Did Wizkid shade Davido with his 'work smart' tweet?

Grammy award-winning singer Wizkid appears to have sparked controversy after over an advice he gave on his X page.

Taking to the microblogging app, the Grammy award-winning singer advised followers to work wisely and avoid overworking like "fools".

He wrote: “Work smart make u no go dey hustle like fool”.

Wizkid's assertion comes a few hours after Davido launched his meme coin, $Davido.

Several social media users believe Wizkid's message was aimed at his rival, Davido.

On Wednesday, May 29, Davido endorsed and launched "Timeless Davido," a cryptocurrency token also known as a meme coin, marking his third venture into the market.

The award-winning singer partnered with leading blockchain platforms Phantom and Solana to bring his vision to life as the $Davido meme coin gained attention, captivating both fans and investors.

Data from CoinMarketCap indicates that the token was trading at $0.000010 on Thursday morning, a decrease of over 93 percent from its peak on Wednesday during its launch.

Unfortunately, the excitement was short-lived. By Thursday morning, the coin's liquidity was reported at $291,000 according to the DEX screener, with $Davido's value dropping by ninety percent.

This isn't Davido's first experience with cryptocurrencies. In November 2021, he introduced $echoke on the Binance Smart Chain with the aim of providing access to giveaways, NFTs, festivals, exclusive merchandise, and other entertainment and hospitality benefits. However, this venture was quickly forgotten.
