Court denies Trinity Guy bail, remands him in prison over ‘dangerous’ pranks; many react

Popular skit maker Abdullahi Maruff Adisa who is better known as Trinity Guy, made an appearance before a magistrate court in the Iyaganku neighborhood of Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday, July 26.

The content creator who was questioned by the Oyo state police command on one of his skits in which he allegedly mistreated a minor, was imprisoned alongside the parents of the young girls.

According to the Tribune, Trinity's attorney, Olare Adebayo pleaded with the court to release his client on bail, but the magistrate PO Adetuyibi said the state Ministry of Justice is still investigating the allegations against the skit maker.

Currently, the case has been postponed until July 11.

Social media users' reactions to the development were mixed. Some demanded that the content creator spend eternity in prison, while others urged for the prosecution of the parents of the girls who were abused by Trinity Guy.
