Chioma Rowland, the soon-to-be wife and mother of Davido’s twins has described how the singer surprised her with a bridal shower.

On Sunday night, June 23, videos from Chioma's bridal shower surfaced. In one of the videos, the popular chef was seen explaining how her fiancé organised the celebration without telling her.

Chioma clarified that Davido had tricked her into leaving the house by claiming they were heading out to dinner, but in reality, they were attending her bridal shower.

She said: “Let me tell you a story. I know this is an event centre and David said we were going to eat.

“He was trying to get the exact location and when we got outside, he asked somebody something and I said, ‘This is not a restaurant. I’m hungry, I want to eat.’ Then I saw balloons, I just started screaming.”

Recall that Davido and Chioma had a secret wedding, attended by only a few family and friends. The couple needed to get married before the burial of their late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in October 2022.

In an interview following the release of his Timeless album in 2023, Davido shared his plans to have a grand wedding with Chioma. According to him, he expects it to be a talk of the town event.

A few days ago, Davido announced that he and Chioma would marry in Lagos on Tuesday, June 25. The release of the Afrobeats artist's pre-wedding photos with Chioma on Sunday night caused a stir on social media, with many fans taking to their platforms to congratulate their idol.

Davido had earlier said that only those invited would be allowed to attend his wedding.
