Nigerians have reacted differently to the viral news report that Davido and his fiancee, Chioma have tied the knot.
According to reports that filtered social media on Sunday, November 13, the couple held their traditional wedding in a private ceremony at Davido’s parent's house.
The ceremony was attended by close friends and family of both the bride and groom with no camera allowed.
The popular blog, Gistlover reports that Chioma’s bride price has been paid in full. Their court wedding is set to hold next week.
It was reported that Chioma, following her son’s death, had told Davido that there was nothing more left for her to be looking at as the son that bound them together was no more.
Davido had to move the traditional wedding forward ostensibly to console Chioma and give her assurance that, without or without a son, her place is assured. Davido’s family is doing everything to make the couple happy.
Both couple are still mourning, and Chioma has lost so much weight.
This news will come as a relief to fans of the couple after the death of their son, Ifeanyi who drowned in a pool on October 31.
Davido and Chioma were set to tie the knot in 2023.
Reactions
Would it last I am not sure. As it was done in a mourning period. You can't use such to cover for the other or compensate for the other. God be with them but just watch
