Bitcoin guru, Blord attacked for giving scholarships to only people from his village

Blord Blord

Nigerian Bitcoin businessman Linus Williams Ifejika, often known as Blord, has come under fire for giving scholarships to only residents of his community.

The Bitcoin master used his Instagram page to offer scholarships to pupils who had dropped out of school and needed money to pay for their WAEC and NECO exams.

The condition attached to the scholarship was that beneficiaries have to be residents of Ebenebe in the Awka North local government area of Anambra State, where he hails from.

Blord's condition was viewed as unnecessary by many social media users, who thought he ought to have made it universal so that individuals from other villages might also benefit.

Some, however saw nothing wrong with the condition stating that 'charity begins at home' hence he should help people from his locality.
