Ballon d’Or 2023: Poco Lee, Dammy Krane, other celebrities, hail Osimhen, Oshoala

Nigerian footballers Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Assisat Oshoala of Barcelona are among those nominated for the coveted Ballon d'Or prize, which is cause for excitement for Nigerian football fans.

Osimhen is the first male football player from Nigeria to be nominated for the award since 1999, hence the nominations are significant victories for Nigeria.

Assisat Oshoala, his female counterpart, is the only other nominee from Africa in the women's category.

According to reports, the award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October Monday, 30, 2023.

Known blogger Tunde Ednut posted photos of the two football players along with congratulatory messages.

Dancer Poco Lee and singer Damy Krane also took to social media to congratulate the two Nigerian football players for the height they have attained.
