Attacks as Yul celebrates Pete Edochie’s doctorate degree days after public celebration

Contentious Nollywood actor and director Yul Edohcie has triggered a fiery controversy online as he prematurely celebrates his father Pete Edochie's coveted dual PhD degree.

Recall that the veteran actor received two honorary doctorates from ISTM University, Togo, on Sunday, September 3.

After the initial excitement subsided, the well-known actor's son turned to social media to join internet users in honoring his father.

Yul Edochie shared a photo of his father and said that the Pete Edochie was a man of decency who deserved all praise.

The father of five prayed once more for God to bless and guard the old man.

"THE LION OF AFRICA. My man for life. Congratulations Dad. Chief Dr. Pete Edochie @peteedochie Two Doctorate degrees in one day. Very well deserved and more. Many more blessings upon you I pray and many more beautiful years. Amen."

The actor's adversaries were unable to restrain themselves from criticizing him for praising the veteran actor days after the latter had received widespread praise.
