A Nigerian man who bears a striking resemblance to Afrobeats superstar Davido has set social media abuzz after making a bizarre fatherhood claim involving a young girl.

In a viral video circulating online, the man alleged that the incident began during a night out at a club in Owerri. According to him, the girl, identified only as Anu, mistook him for Davido because of his close resemblance to the music star.

He claimed he tried to correct her assumption, insisting that he was not Davido. However, the girl allegedly remained unconvinced and followed him to his hotel, overwhelmed by excitement.

“Right from time, I’ve been a die-hard fan of Davido here in Owerri,” the man said in the video. “I told her I’m not Davido, but she was so excited and still followed me.”

The situation reportedly took a dramatic turn when the man claimed the girl now believes he is her father. In an emotional plea, he declared, “Anu is my daughter, no be play. Davido, please forgive me,” stressing that he never intended to deceive anyone.
