Actor Aki laments over alarming rate of people begging him for money

Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze who is widely known as Aki has expressed concern about the rising number of people who send him direct messages (dm) asking for money.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the actor claimed that several individuals had forwarded his direct message to a bank.

Chinedu claimed to have received innumerable letters from individuals asking for funding to launch a business and care for their ill mother.

He claims that he received messages from two people, one wanting $12,000 which is equivalent to N9,366,000 and the other $35,000approximately N27,317,500.

While urging social media users to be aware that celebrities also have obligations, the actor pointed out that the requests for money do not just originate from Nigerians.

Many social media users took to his comment section to share varied opinions. Some urged him to help people he will be able to help while others advised him not to open messages sent to him.
