A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja, Lagos, on Wednesday ordered that a 50-year-old traditional medicine practitioner, Felix Okon, who allegedly defiled his two daughters, be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Service, pending legal advice.

Chief Magistrate P.E. Nwaka, who did not take the plea of Okon ordered that the case file be returned to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

Nwaka adjourned the case until March 18 for mention.

Okon, who resides at Plot 154, Road, 11 Federal Gowon Estate, Lagos State, is charged with Rape.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Christopher John told the court that Okon committed the offence in August 2019, at his residence.

John alleged that Okon gave his two daughters, aged 16 and 14 with alcohol before defiling them.

He said the matter was reported at the police station and the defendant was arrested.

John said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 260 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
